Message I recently reinstalled my engine after many mods, in particular I replace the timing belt (only the belt, so I didn't touch the CAS) and installed a UR pulley.

Well, when I started the engine, it ran smooth, even at idle when the engine was hot.

Then I checked the timing (I used the loop on the PTU) and read 30 degrees ! The CAS was approximatively in the middle position, and I had always driven my car before with the the CAS at the same position w/o any problem, so it was very strange.

I tried to adjust the timing, but even with the CAS totally on the right, I could only get 20 degrees.

FYI, I don't have the stock EPROM but a Zemulator (I had it before and didn't modify the parameters since) and I run the "stock 93" parameters.

30 degrees is 15 + 15 degrees, as if my timing advance had doubled...

Where could that come from ?
- I know you have to take care when reading the timing with an underdrive pulley. But 15 degrees is not a parallax error.
- I could have installed the timing belt unproperly, but I triple checked it, and 15 degrees would be a lot of teeth and I would have serious issues with the DS's exhaust valves.

So what ?

I didn't have my laptop today, so I didn't check the timing maps, but tomorrow I'll run the Zemulator and Conzult to check the maps.

Thanks for any idea.
